DCU fans have speculated on who will play the role of Booster Gold, with one name being Chris Pratt. James Gunn has finally broken the silence on these rumours.
Among the other series slated for James Gunn’s DCU reboot, Booster Gold is slated to have his own HBO Max series. This character is different from the conventional superheroes, possessing an insatiable need for power and fame. Fans have been discussing who they would want to portray Booster Gold, with Chris Pratt being in the running.
James Gunn has recently dismissed the rumours that the series is starting production soon. Booster Gold has two brief previous live-action depictions – Donald Faison in “Legends of Tomorrow” and Eric Martsolf in “Smallville”. Gunn described the new series as “A loser from the future, who uses his basic future technology to come back to today and pretend to be a superhero.”
Pratt has previously played Star-Lord in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, though it seems his role has been put on hold. He appears open to the idea of joining the DCU if given the opportunity by Gunn. Whoever gets the role, it will likely be a while before we hear any official news on the casting.
