Beyoncé’s new album “Renaissance II” has officially been announced, alongside the release of two country-inspired songs “16 Carriages” and “Texas Hold ‘Em”.
Beyoncé’s new album has finally been announced, the long-awaited sequel to her 2022 “Renaissance” album. It is rumoured for a March 29th release. The singer teased fans on social media with an elaborate series of videos, dropping hints about some of the upcoming albums’ songs: Barbey, BOUTUS, and Texas Hold ‘Em.
A short time after this – through the announcement during a Super Bowl commercial – two country-themed songs appeared on streaming services: “Texas Hold ‘Em” and “16 Carriages”.
The first is almost entirely acoustic guitars, bass drums, and vocals. Its chorus concludes, “It’s a real-live boogie and a real live hoedown, don’t be a bitch just take it to the floor now.” The second song is country-esque, transforming into an epic orchestral arrangement on the choruses.
Fans have been eagerly awaiting a new project from Queen Bey since the 2022 “Renaissance” album. At the time, she revealed that the album would be the first of a “three-act project.” Unlike her previous projects, the album dropped without visuals. Will every song on the new album have a country flavour? It won’t be long before this question is answered, if the rumours can be trusted.
