Two “Cancelled” Marvel Shows Get An Exciting Update

Two previously cancelled Marvel shows are making a return. Ironheart and Wonder Man are on their way to the screen, and sooner than you might think.

After several cinematic flops, Marvel switched up its game plan in 2023. Iron Heart and Wonder Man were two of the shows that fell victim to the cuts. Months later, Marvel shows producer Brad Winderbaum confirms that these two shows are still in the pipeline.

“We’re editing both of those shows as we speak. They’re spectacular, they’re amazing, and they’re different… We’re able to explore corners of the universe that are really exciting. Riri Williams is one of them and I cannot wait for people to meet Simon Williams.”

Ironheart follows Riri Williams (Dominique Thorne) facing a new threat when she returns home to Chicago. The character was introduced in “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”. The show began filming in 2022, also starring – Anthony Ramos, Alden Ehrenreich, Lyric Ross, and Manny Montana.

Aquaman Star Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, the actor to play Simon Williams in Wonder Man.

Wonder Man stars Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Simon Williams, an actor who gains superpowers. This miniseries casts Ben Kingsley as Trevor Slattery, also staring Demetrius Grosse, Josh Gad, and Ed Harris. Filming began before the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. After a 9-month delay, it resumed in January 2024.

2024 will be an important year for Marvel and the comic book industry in general. Will they be able to re-capture the magic of the MUC’s Infinite Saga once more?
