The Last of Us Season 2 HBO Series Filming Has Begun

HBO’s film adaptation of Naughty Dog’s “The Last of Us” was a huge hit. Season 2 is already in the works, but will it be as popular? Who will join the cast?

HBO’s “The Last of Us” Season 1 ended with Joel and Ellie returning to the Colorado commune. Fans of the game series already know what is to come, but it is likely there will be a few surprises along the way. Season 1 already played with expectations and expanded took some of its characters in a new direction (namely, Frank and Bill). How will The Last of Us Season 2 continue the tale?

Pedro Pascal gave fans an update on how the early days of Season 2 filming were going. He shared, “Filming is going amazing… It’s sort of awe-inspiring the kind of focus and dedication that everyone has going into Season 2… It’s incredible to be back home with them and creatively and everybody, our entire crew, they’re working harder than I could even imagine, even harder than our first season, which is close to impossible. It’s pretty inspiring and unbelievable.”

He also described more about what it felt like to return as the iconic Joel Miller. “Stepping into those boots again, it feels strangely brand new. I’ve never done anything like this before that has such original authorship before I ever got to it. And then to be given the space to author what would I have to give and to be under Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann and alongside Bella Ramsey has been really the whole reason it works for me. I guess I’m learning something new every day, and I’ll be thinking about it probably for the rest of my life.”
