Hugh Jackman is putting in the hours at the gym to get his body in shape for his return as Wolverine in Deadpool 3.
On Twitter, the Wolverine actor Hugh Jackman shared a new video of his training workout, captioned “No days off – except for tomorrow”.
Jackman has played Wolverine for almost 25 years and will be returning in Deadpool 3. The 55-year-old actor is working hard to hone his physique for the muscular superhero role.
The first image shared from Deadpool 3 was Ryan Reynolds’s new Deadpool costume and Huge Jackman’s Wolverine wearing the iconic yellow and blue outfit – though his arms are covered by sleeves.
Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds reassured fans that Deadpool 3 will not interfere with the events of Logan. This means that Deadpool 3 could be set before Logan, or an entirely different universe. The Time Variance Authority from Loki has already been spotted in Deadpool 3, which may play a role in Wolverine’s story.
The movie has been described as a road trip between Deadpool and Wolverine by Reynolds. With MCU’s multiverse and rumours of other actors returning from Fox’s X-Men franchise, Jackson’s Wolverine could be in for a wild ride.
Set photos and videos revealed Deadpool and Wolverine fighting next to the ruins of 20th Century Fox’s logo, suggesting that the pair will go head to head. The film’s R Rating adds further proof that fans can expect a violent showdown between the two anti-heroes.
