“Breaking Bad” Star to Join the Marvel Cinematic Universe

Giancarlo Esposito, best known for his role as Gus Fring in Breaking Bad, will appear in an upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe project. Who will he play?

Giancarlo Esposito, most known for playing the calm and calculated Gus Fring in Breaking Bad, is set to join the ranks of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Prior to his exciting reveal on the Thunder Stage at CCXP, fans had cast him as Professor X. Esposito said that he will be playing a different role and that it will happen “sooner rather than later” and “better than you can imagine.”

Esposito has proven his ability to play menacing villains (as seen in “The Mandalorian” and “Breaking Bad”). It is possible that Marvel will cast him in a similar role. There are several upcoming projects for the Marvel Cinematic Universe – “Deadpool & Wolverine,” “Captain America: A Brave New World,” “Thunderbolts*,” “The Fantastic Four,” and “Blade.” Many of these have suffered from delays – due to script issues, casting problems, and schedule clashes.

Hopefully, we will receive some official news from Marvel about Esposito’s MCU debut soon.
